Meet the new 2016 coach and his family.

I am excited to join the Gordon Football Netball Club as Senior Football Coach for season 2016.  My football journey has taken me far and wide and I’m hoping these experiences can help the club and playing group develop further.

Some of my experiences include;
– Senior Premiership player with Union FC in Northern Echuca League
– Vic Country U17 Rep (Teal Cup U17 National Championships -Darwin)
– 12 Reserve Grade Games at Collingwood & 20 Reserve Grade Games at Carlton
– Ovens & Murray League Rep – Country Champions 1996
– Senior Premiership player with Golden Square FC in Bendigo FL
– U16 Coach Sandringham Dragons FC TAC Cup
– Volunteer AFL Development Officer – South Africa
– General Manager – AFL Central Australia
– Darley FC Senior Coach
– Darley JFC U16 Coach
– Ballarat FL Interleague Assistant Coach
As we approach the season ahead a lot of work behind the scenes has and is taking place to ensure the senior and reserve sides are ready to build on successful 2015 seasons.
We will see some new players representing the club including returning players;
– Ryan Aquilina
– James Kirkpatrick
They will be joined by some exciting experienced recruits;
– Brendan Sutcliffe (Hepburn FC) – key forward/ruck
– Ben Peters (Riddell FC) – midfielder
– Jeremy Krojs (Riddell FC) – midfielder
As well as talented youngsters;
– Jack Bevan – tall utility
– Mitch Lawrence – tall utility
– Nick Wood – wing/half back
These three boys will be joining the club from the Lavington FC in the Ovens & Murray FL as they move to study in 2016. Mitch and Nick will be studying in Geelong while Jack will be studying in Ballarat.
My wife Starsha, twin boys Koby and Max and I look forward to getting to know everyone at Gordon and enjoying our time at the club.  Round 1 can’t come soon enough.  If you see me at the club please feel free to come and say hello.
